Introduction to the eyelash extensions course

In the eyelash extensions course, you receive a solid theoretical and practical foundation that enables you to create eyelash extensions of the highest quality. You learn how to best meet the client’s wishes and expectations for the treatment and how, with the right products and techniques, you can deliver the highest quality for the client. We use only approved and allergy-friendly products in all our treatments and in all our courses and training programmes.

The eyelash extensions course requires patience and a love of precision work. You learn the basic theory, everything about equipment and accessories and, of course, the basic practical techniques, but it takes practice to get the hands-on application just right. It requires practice and patience. 

You are also trained in pre- and post-treatments and in marketing the craft.

We also always work with client psychology in PMU-line’s training programmes, as truly great client care and client collaboration are your path to success as an eyelash technician.

Course structure and content

The Eyelash Extensions course consists of:

• Part 1 – Online theory and practice

• Part 2 – Practical training

This structure makes the course extremely flexible and gives you the opportunity to plan and adapt the eyelash extensions course to your everyday life. Many of our students, for example, have a full-time or part-time job alongside the course. 

Part 1: Online theory and exercises

• Theory of eyelash extensions

• Step-by-step video demo treatment

• Practice at home on the mannequin head you receive with your starter kit after enrolling

• Online theory exam

Once you have completed Part 1, passed the online theory exam, and your exercises have been approved by your instructor, you will gain access to Part 2.

Duration: approx. 3 weeks

If you have the opportunity to practise the techniques in real life—for example in your own clinic or where you are employed—you are welcome to perform model treatments before the practical day. These will count towards your overall exam assessment.

Part 2: Practical day(s) at the training centre

Part 2 of the eyelash extensions course includes 1 practical training day at our training centre in Vejle, or with one of our partners in Brønderslev, Glostrup, Frederikssund or Nykøbing Falster.

Part 2 includes:

• Summary of the theory

• Review of the techniques through practice on a model

• You practise yourself on models, which is part of your exam.

In addition, you must independently complete at least 10 model treatments and submit before-and-after photos. Read more in the next section.

Duration: 1 day at the training centre/with a partner + 10 treatments completed independently.

Exam for the eyelash extensions course

Theoretical exam – online

The theoretical exam takes place online at the end of Part 1 and qualifies you for Part 2.

Practical exam – at the training centre and at home

The practical exam is a combination of treatments on models at the training centre (or with one of our partners) in connection with the practical day, as well as 10 subsequent treatments completed independently.

As soon as you have passed the theoretical exam online, you are qualified to carry out model treatments on your own. This means you can already begin practising the techniques before the practical day—if you feel ready, of course.

In total, you must complete at least 10 model treatments independently (before and/or after the practical day) and send before-and-after photos to your instructor, who will evaluate them with you and provide professional guidance.

Once you have completed 10 model treatments independently, you are qualified to receive the final course certificate and the internationally accredited certificate for a successfully completed course.

Internationally accredited CPD certificate

Successful completion of all theory, techniques, as well as the theoretical and practical exams in the course entitles you to the internationally accredited CPD certificate: “Single semi-permanent eyelash extensions” and you may thereafter call yourself an eyelash technician.

Starter kit is included

The accessories used during the course are included in the price.

In addition, when you enrol you will receive a starter kit where all products are from DanishLash, PMU-line’s own allergy-friendly brand. These products ensure long-lasting and safe results of the highest quality for your clients.

In the starter kit you receive:

• 4 trays of eyelash extensions 

• 1x allergy-friendly adhesive

• 1x primer

• 1x adhesive remover

• 1x oil-free makeup remover

• 2 x special tweezers

• 1x brush

• 20 x eyelash brushes

• 20 x glue rings

• 50 x micro brushes

• 1 x scissors

• 1 x fabric mask

• 1 x hand pump

• 10 x eye patches (incl. 10 extra glue rings and 10 eyelash brushes)

• 1 x tape

• Everything is packed in a quality lockable case

Your instructor on the eyelash extensions course

On most of PMU-line’s courses and programmes, Aleksandra Kjaersfeldt teaches. She is a highly educated master trainer in permanent makeup with her own clinic and many years of experience in the industry.

Aleksandra Kjaersfeldt is:

• a trained micropigmentist specialising in advanced permanent makeup and laser therapy

• a certified master trainer in cosmetic and medical micropigmentation

• a certified master trainer in Lash and Brow Keratin Lamination

• a certified master trainer in Eyelash Extensions

• a master trainer in dermatherapy/clinical wrinkle reduction

• a mesotherapist

• an anti-age therapist

There is no area within permanent makeup that Aleksandra Kjaersfeldt has not worked with. Despite that, Aleksandra is a humble person who always meets her students with great enthusiasm and openness.
